Reverend Chishibanji Celestin from the DRC and Reverend Simon Pierre Rwaramba from Rwanda have extended another invitation to PLNU to have a team come and work with them again. This is significant on many levels, including the fact that these two countries have a history of violence and war with each other. Both countries are rebuilding since the genocide and subsequent reprisal killings that took place in Rwanda and Congo beginning in April of 1993. The ongoing efforts of justice and reconciliation continue, and LoveWorks team will be able to see and be a part of these endeavors.

The team will live will spend the first part of the trip in the northwest part of Rwanda, home to the world famous mountain gorillas. The team will be living with host families from several of the local churches, meeting with youth groups, widows groups, serving in orphanages and assisting with other compassionate ministries

Then the team will travel to the South Kivu region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Here they will also be hosted by families from the local churches, and will assist in building a mud-brick church, as well as working in orphanages, compassionate ministry centers in the community, flood relief efforts and visitation of several of the village churches.
