| About Me: |
I have been involved in young adult ministry for the last ten years. Before coming to Point Loma, I served as the Campus Pastor at Simpson University in northern California. I’m one of those people that experience life deeply. I am fond of saying, “I’m not afraid of being human.” Because of this, I am extremely relational and am constantly seeking meaning in the everyday moments of life. I am married to Rebecca, and we have two chocolate Labs named Sam & Eli. My top-five Strengths Quest results are: Input, Connectedness, Includer, Empathy, and Intellection. My favorite Psalm is 46. |

| Interests/Hobbies: |
I like to think of myself as an artist who is still trying to find his medium; which translated means, I like a lot of stuff! If you look through my proverbial closet you’ll find cycling gear, two skateboards (a street board and a ramp board), kayaking equipment, running shoes, three cameras (old 35mm Pentax, Canon Rebel SLR, and Canon digital video camera), hiking boots, camping gear, books, music, and gadgets galore. |
| Favorite Music: |
I like anything that makes me think: jazz, folk, alternative, classical, lyrical rock, chant, and Americana classics. |
| Favorite Movies: |
I like stories that have an existential quality to them, where people are discovering themselves in the course of the movie. Some would be: Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets, Garden State, Once, The Man Who Planted Trees, Babette’s Feast, etc. However, there are times when I just want to laugh and be entertained, and then any comedy will do. |
| Favorite Books: |
The bulk of my books are focused on Christian spirituality, Church history, and “armchair” theology. I am slowly entering into the realm of classical literature. |
| Favorite Food/Restaurant: |
I’m pretty sure I am Italian, though my parents still insist that I am Irish and German. I love food that has a full taste and consider myself to have a diverse palate. But given a choice, I’ll always eat Italian. |

| Would most like to visit: |
I still haven’t been to England, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Greece or Spain. So, any of those places would be cool. |
| Heroes: |
I would say Brother Roger of Taizé. Here’s a guy that sheltered Jews and others who opposed Nazi Germany during the WWII; and then started a community after the War to reconcile relationships between Nazi oppressors and those oppressed.; a profound image of an apprentice of Jesus. |
