About Worship Ministries ...
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it; “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39
The mission of the Office of Spiritual Development is to encourage the entire campus community in our teaching, shaping and sending mission by creating and implementing programs that facilitate the UPREACH of worship, INREACH of discipleship and the OUTREACH of ministry.
Worship Ministries encompasses each aspect of this mission. The purpose of Worship Ministries is not just about music and about what takes place within a musical aspect of worship. It’s about living a life of worship 24/7 - in our academic world, our relationship world, our financial world, the way we spend our time AND the communion of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Therefore, I urge you brothers (sisters), in view of God’s mercy to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of you mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2
