Hang Out

The Point Break Café, better known as the PBC, is the place to grab a snack or coffee before class. It’s also a great place to hang out with friends. In addition to both hot and cold food and drink items, the PBC boasts TVs and couches for relaxing between classes.

If you want a comfortable place where you can relax, talk with friends, watch a big screen TV, or play games, check out the Rec Room on the bottom floor of Nicholson Commons. You can play billiards, ping pong, foosball, giant chess, and board games if you’re staying in or you can rent equipment such as mountain bikes, sleeping bag, tents, and surfboards if you’re heading out for the day.

At night, the Rec Room offers great times of fellowship and entertainment. Don’t miss Time Out, a student-led worship service that takes place Wednesdays from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. It’s a great chance to hear your fellow students share their hearts and stories in a more intimate setting than chapel. After Time Out, head over to the PBC to grab a late night snack and hang with friends while listening to music from Point Loma students and local bands at After Dark.

Thursday nights at 9 p.m., come to the Rec Room for Musoffee, where you can enjoy coffee or tea and to listen to your fellow students play music, sing, or read short stories and poetry.
