If you are thinking about studying abroad any time during your college career, drop by the Study Abroad Office for one of our daily information sessions. Attendance at an information session is a required first step and they will cover the process, programs, forms, and deadlines for studying abroad. Please stop by and see us at the Study Abroad Office, now located on the south side of Bond Academic Center in the Academic Support Center, any day Monday-Friday at 4:00 pm. See you then!
PASSPORT INFORMATION
If you do not already have a passport, or if you have a passport that will expire within 6 months after you plan on returning from your semester abroad, it is urgent that you apply NOW. Students should keep in mind that the two payments are separate and should be prepared to bring two separate checks.
SAFETY INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS STUDYING ABROAD
On February 21, 2008, the State Department released a media note providing safety information to students, alerting them to the consequences of incautious or illegal behavior abroad. The State Department’s Bureau of Consular Affairs is responsible for the protection and welfare of U.S. citizens abroad.
GLIMPSE CORRESPONDENT
It is with great pleasure that we announce the application cycle for our Spring 2010 Glimpse Correspondents Program! Supported in part by National Geographic Society, the Correspondents Program is for especially talented study abroad students specializing in writing or photography. Correspondents receive a $600 stipend, a professional editor, career training in writing and photography, guaranteed publication on Glimpse.org, and potential publication in National Geographic platforms.
