If you captured a stunning or intriguing picture while studying abroad, now is your chance to have your work enjoyed by others. Enter the PLNU Study Abroad Photo Contest!

Eligibility Requirements:
  1. Entrants must be a current or former PLNU student and have participated in a study abroad program during the Spring 2009 or Summer 2009 terms.
  2. Photos must be original work (no professional photos will be accepted) and have been taken by the entrant during the entrant's study abroad program.
  3. Photos may be color or black and white and may be submitted as prints or as digital images.
    1. If you would like your print back, and you live off-campus, you must also submit a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
  4. A maximum of three photos may be submitted per applicant.
  5. Each photo must have a caption or title.

    6.   Each submission must be accompanied by a completed entry form.

    7.   Entries must be received by 4:30 pm (Pacific) October 16, 2009.

    2. Print entries can be brought or mailed to the Study Abroad Office

** All entries become the property of the PLNU Study Abroad Office and may be used by the Study Abroad Office and/or PLNU in the future accompanied by proper photo credits.**

Criteria- Three Categories:

  1. Portraits- people, animals
  2. Landscapes- architecture, natural beauty
  3. Cross-Cultural- defining moments, interaction with host culture

Prizes

  1. There will be one Grand Prize Winner: $75 gift card
  2. There will also be one winner for each category: $25 card
  3. Each winner will also receive their winning entry framed.
  4. The top 15 photos will be displayed on the new Windows to the World page on the Study Abroad website

Tips

  1. When printing digital photos, use the highest resolution possible and use photo quality paper
  2. If photo printing is difficult, try uploading your photos to online photo developing websites like Columbia Photo, Kodak Gallery, Shutterfly, Photo Works, Flikr or Snapfish *
  3. Give your photo a creative title to help it stand out.
