The name “Viet Nam” symbolizes the union of this S-shaped country’s north and south parts.  Vietnam is an ancient blend of Indian and Chinese cultures along with the modern influences of French colonization and the Cold War.  A semester here is an opportunity to study the rich history of this diverse and developing region.
