Guidelines for Tutoring Position at PLNU

ON-CALL TUTORS offer assistance in a variety of GE courses.  All tutors work by appointment in the Tutorial Center during its normal hours of operation.

SUPPLEMENTAL TUTORS  Supplemental tutors hold review sessions before exams, at the request of the instructor.  Tutors collaborate with the instructor of the course on review content and format.  Sessions are scheduled in collaboration with the Tutorial Center, but held in a classroom or lecture hall.

PRIVATE TUTORS are students who are approved to tutor in the Tutorial Center, and also desire to tutor off campus and in the community. The Tutorial Center provides names, phone numbers, and email addresses of qualified tutors. Time and place are determined between the tutor and family. Fees begin at $15 an hour.
