There’s not even one right or wrong answer! Just by visiting this page, you’re already taking the first step in what we’d love to see in your essay--giving it some thought! Here are some other tips for writing great application essays:
--spell check. I can’t say it enough. You’d be surprised how many people don’t do it. We don’t need to read another essay about “alochol” or “Satin.”
--have someone else look over your essays before you submit them. Maybe a teacher, a parent—even your Admissions Counselors would love to glance over your essay to be sure that no spelling or grammar mistakes were overlooked.
--be sure that you answer all aspects of the essay question. Many questions intentionally have more than one part; for example, if a question asks for the pros and cons of an issue, be sure to address both pros and cons.
--check the context of the question. For example, the two PLNU essay questions both have background information. If you take a moment and look at the background information, you may have more insight into how you want to answer the question.
