Where you were born?
Salem, OR
What did you study in college?
I Studied a variety of subjects and ended up with a B.S. in Speech Communication, a B.S. in General Science with an emphasis in Pre-Pharmacy, a minor in Business Administration, and a minor in Food System Management.
What were your favorite involvements in college and why?
I really enjoyed the random service endeavors I was involved with—everything from campus blood drives to recycling committee activities. Also, I was fortunate enough to be involved in a Student Recognition and Award committee which gave scholarships to students who were above average in academics and evidenced their contribution to create a better world.
What's a word or phrase that describes you?
Loves to explore, cook, and live life to the fullest.
What's your favorite San Diego past time?
I can't pinpoint just one but San Diego is an incredible area. My favorite part of San Diego is that it is very active—so I love going to new restaurants, walking, biking, hiking, kayaking, checking out any of the Balboa museums or exhibits, going to the beach, going to indie/up-and-coming-band concerts with friends, volunteering at the beach clean up, etc. San Diego is a great area; there's definitely something for everyone!
What advice would you give to an incoming PLNU student?
College is a huge experience—it has many, many components so it's helpful to take some time every term to do a re-evaluation of where you are, what you've learned, and what your priorities for the future are. And don't be afraid to use the resources available to you—everything from Rec Retreats to professors' recommendations for internships. PLNU offers a lot of tools and resources for students, so use them for your benefit.
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
I would be a gecko—they always live in beautiful tropical places.
