Campus Visit Coordinator
Where were you born?
I was born in Livermore California, but moved around a little, spending my younger years in Claremont, CA; Chesapeake, VA and high school in Los Gatos, CA.
What did you study in college?
I was a Management Organization Communications Major. I’m great at managing, organizing and communicating, thanks to that major!
What’s your favorite involvement at PLNU?
I played on the PLNU Women’s Basketball Team for four years. It was a great experience and I still miss it to this day. Being one of the “shorter” players on the team, I had to work hard to prove myself and ended up setting a few records in my time at PLNU. Now it’s just a waiting game to see who breaks them and when!
What’s a word or phrase that describes you?
“You have to physically smile to make the person over the phone hear you smile”. (I smile a lot!)
What’s your favorite pastime in San Diego?
I love going to the beach with my two daughters…there are so many different beaches right around here. It’s fun to dig in the sand at each of them. We also enjoy our SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park passes.
What advice would you give an incoming PLNU student?
When looking at a college, you really have to realize it’s going to be your home for the next four years. As you visit, look around the college campus and the immediate surrounding area as well. What can I or would I do on weekends? What are the social activities on campus and in the residence halls. Can I see myself living here? It should be a place that you can grow academically, socially and spiritually.
If you could be any animal, what would it be and why?
I would be any animal that eats spiders, big or small…I suffer from an extreme case of arachnophobia and I’d like nothing better than to be able to be an animal that would eat those guys and rid them from the planet…but now that I think of it…that’s really gross…eating spiders! So maybe I’d like to be a cute dolphin or baby bunny or something.
