Where you were born?
Oklahoma, but I grew up in Phoenix, AZ.
What did you study in college?I majored in Communication and minored in Literature.
What were your favorite involvements in college and why?I had the chance to be involved in choirs, ministries and clubs, but I think I most enjoyed my time on PLNU's Speech and Debate team. Where else can you get paid to travel all over the country, eat out all the time and argue?
What's a word or phrase that describes you? "Sings in the car like no one can see her."
What's your favorite San Diego past time? Too many to say! I'll just say that an ideal Saturday involves getting breakfast at Shades in Ocean Beach while looking at the ocean; doing something fun, like going to one of our amazing malls or museums; doing something active, like going to Sea World (season passes are the best!) or the beach; and eating dinner at one of many amazing restaurants. My friends and I try to go to a new one every week!
What advice would you give to an incoming PLNU student? Get to know your professors. Knowing someone who's already been a success in the field in which you're interested will prove invaluable – even after you're out of class! My favorite professors have been a great resources for me and are still great friends.
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? I think I'd be a show Golden Retriever. Everyone would love me (who doesn't love a Golden Retriever?), I'd still get to run around and eat a lot, but every day would be a spa day because of all those shows!
