1. Favorite PLNU class so far: Intro to Music with Dr. Nelson. Even though it's a 7:30 am class, I learn so much about a subject that I really am passionate about and he makes me think through a new perspective every morning.
2. Where do you live? I live in Hendricks Hall with my bff... Tim Strifler.
3. Favorite Caf food: Yes, my favorite subject to talk about! My FAVORITE thing(s) in the CAF is a tie between the Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich and the availability to eat a waffle (w/ peanut butter, bananas, and honey) at any given time of the day.
4. Best thing about your hometown: My favorite thing about going home in La Mirada is the location. There isn't a whole lot to do in quaint La Mirada but it's right in the middle of Orange County/LA. If you want to take advantage of the tons of places to go to in OC you can get there in less than 30 minutes or you can go to a show in LA w/out traffic in 30 minutes.
5.Favorite music of the moment: Top five artists right now (very proud of this list btw): Coldplay, John Mayer, U2, Greg Laswell, Death Cab for Cutie

1. Favorite classes at PLNU so far: As of yet, I have three favorite classes at this school. I took a biology course freshmen year where we talked about all kinds of environmental issues affecting the United States and the world today. It was awesome to spend time examining how other animals and other cultures cope with our ever-changing climate. Then of course there is my linguistics course. I am not ashamed to be in love with language. I love exploring how languages are born, how they evolve, and how they diminish! It's fascinating! And last, but certainly not least, I love surfing class. I can't believe I get credit for playing in the ocean. Several of my friends are in the class with me, and we joke about how we have to hurry and get to class (aka the beach).
2. Where you live and who you live with: I've lived everywhere. I lived in the dorms my first two years at Point Loma. I was an RA for one of those years. Junior year my girlfriends and I got a house off campus. I stayed there for a semester before studying abroad in living with a host family. Now my mom has moved down to San Diego, so, upon returning from South America, I moved back in with my mom and sister. It's really nice being close enough to visit school and friends yet still be able to go home for things like homework, and family time.
3. The best thing you've ever eaten in the caf: I'm a real sucker for salads, and the Caf's Greek salad is delicious!
4. The best thing in your hometown: The beach. Hands down. There's surf. There's surf kayaking. You can watch the sunset, paint on the beach, collect shells, swim, build sand castles, meet people visiting from all over, see all kinds of fish. It's an awe-inspiring creation.
5. Favorite Musicians: Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Sufjan Stevens, Conor Oberst, The Emotions. It's too painful to narrow them down! I refuse to be so exclusive!
