BLA 205, 206 (4,4) ESSENTIALS OF HEBREW I, II–GE

An introductory study of the syntax and vocabulary of Biblical Hebrew, with Old Testament readings along with an introduction to the tools and methods of exegesis.

BLA 207, 208 (3,3) ESSENTIALS OF GREEK I, II–GE

A linguistic approach to the language of the New Testament providing students with sufficient knowledge to read selected passages from the Greek New Testament with the use of a grammar and lexicon. Offered 2007-08.

BLA 337 (3) EXEGESIS OF GREEK NEW TESTAMENT I–GE

Methodologies for the exegesis of the Greek New Testament with attention to continued reading of the text and advanced grammar and syntax. Offered 2007-08.
Prerequisites: Biblical Language 207 and 208.

BLA 490 (1-3) SPECIAL STUDIES IN BIBLICAL LANGUAGES

Readings in Greek or Hebrew for the advanced student in Biblical languages. May be repeated up to four units credit in each language.
Prerequisites: Consent of the dean of the School of Theology and Christian Ministry and either Biblical Languages 337 OR 205, 206.
