Personal Counseling:


Personal counseling is offered on a one-to-one basis by professional counselors. Counseling is for personal concerns that may be interfering with emotional well-being and/or the ability to fulfill educational and personal goals. Counseling can include problem solving, resolution of situational and everyday pressures, relationship concerns, spiritual questions, and life transition issues. Consideration is shown for diverse backgrounds and value systems.


Group Support:


Each semester support groups are offered to assist students in dealing with a variety of life issues. For information about groups currently being offered, call extension 2574, or see Current Events.


Crisis Intervention:


Crisis intervention is available during office hours (8 to 4:30, M-F) to help with immediate problems in instances involving issues of pressing concern. Crisis intervention during other than normal office hours is accessed through the Office of Public Safety, (619) 849-2525.


Referrals:


Off-campus referrals are available upon request or click on referrals to print them out. These services may involve fees and may be applicable to health insurance.
