Mission
To provide both acute and preventive supportive health services to students that enable them to achieve their academic goals and establish life long healthy living habits.
Nurse Practitioners available for the following:
- Assessment of colds, injuries, other health related issues
- Treatment per policy and procedures established with a
consulting MD
- Injections of vaccines, TB testing, immunizations, and
travel medications
- Advice and referral
Counselors available for the following:
- Assessment of depression, anxiety and other mental health related issues
- Brief counseling as indicated (5-6 visits maximum)
- Referral to local resources as indicated
- Premarital counseling
- Groups: Cancer Survivors, Grief Support, Adult Children of Divorce, Adult Children of Addiction, etc.
Outreach Education
- Educational programming regarding mental health issues such as stress
- Educational programming regarding healthy living lifestyle choices
- Integrating all aspects of a whole person into programming efforts
- Networking with various departments and groups across campus to provide coordinated outreaches.
Peer Education Program
- Student peer-to-peer program
- Dedicated to increasing peer knowledge regarding lifestyle choices
- Leadership skill building
