- Morning walk-ins and afternoon appointment times as indicated:
- Morning Walk-Ins: 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Students will be seen by the Nurse Practitioner on a walk in basis in the morning hours of 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Afternoon Appointments: 1:30 to 4 p.m.
- Afternoon hours will be reserved for same day appointment visits for the Nurse Practitioner between 1:30 and 4 p.m.
- Tuberculin skin test (PPD) are given during the morning hours: between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except Thursdays. Students need to return two days later, at any time (8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 4 p.m.) for the PPD reading. Students will be charged if they forget to come in for their reading and a second PPD test needs to be administered.
- Students that need a PPD and cannot come during the available morning hours will need to go to the Public Health Department at 3851 Rosecrans Street in Point Loma. PPD tests are given on Tuesday and Wednesday. Test results are read two days later. Clinic times are 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m.
- Immunizations are offered during the morning hours: between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Immunizations offered at the Wellness Center include: meningitis, tetanus, MMR, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and flu vaccines.
- Students will be seen by appointment between 1:30 and 4 p.m.
- Appointments will be given to students on a “same day” basis. The student should come to the Wellness Center to schedule their appointment to see the Nurse Practitioner.
- A comment box has been added to help you communicate helpful suggestions as to how we can best assist you.
FAQ’s: - Students will continue to be seen by the Nurse Practitioner on a walk-in basis during the morning hours: 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Senior nursing physicals can be done as walk-in or by appointment for $10.
- Pre-nursing physicals can be done by scheduling a 30 minute appointment. The cost for the pre-nursing physical is $25.
- Dr. Joseph Allen, our medical Consultant, has morning clinic every other Friday. Appointments can be made at the front desk.
- The Wellness Center provides off-campus referrals in the community.
- Confidential counseling appointments can be made at the front desk or you can call (619) 849-2574 and ask for Sandy.
