Creative Imagination: Embodying Time, Space and Form
The Wesleyan Center for 21st Century Studies and Writers Symposium by the Sea invited attendees of the 2002 Centennial Conference to explore the creative imagination at work in the academic disciplines, the professions, and in Christian journeys.
In what ways do Christian narratives or practices challenge impoverished contemporary life? What are the engaging aspects of selected texts, stories and metaphors that nurture the Christian spirit? What creative perspectives, issues or themes confront Christian higher education, the Wesleyan tradition, and American culture today? How may the creative imagination embody grace?
For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow. You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord's hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
