Dr. Margaret Stevenson

Point Loma Nazarene University acknowledges the enormous contribution Margaret Stevenson has made to the campus community on behalf of women by naming the Women’s Studies Center in her honor. Over 20 years as professor, chair of the nursing department, and Dean of Professional Studies,

Dr. Stevenson has been a model of leadership and a staunch advocate for women’s issues. She has mentored women faculty and students, and increased awareness of gender issues such as inclusive language and greater representation of women in chapel.

Dr. Stevenson’s grace-filled leadership has opened a path for Point Loma women to use their gifts and pursue the call of God in their lives, inspiring them to strive for excellence and equality.
