National Christian College Invitational Biola

The PLNU Speech and Debate Team won Third Place in Division One Individual Events Sweepstakes and Third Place in Overall Sweepstakes for debate and individual events. The only two schools that out pointed us were Individual Event powerhouses Cedarville (Ohio) and Southwest Baptist (Missouri) Universities. Our debate teams saw much hard work pay off. Eleven of our 13 teams advanced to the elimination rounds in their respective divisions, which is I believe more than twice the number of teams advanced by the nearest competitor, perhaps three times the number. The individual events were also much improved over last years showing at this same tournament. The debate and individual events results are shown below.
