In November 2013, Laura Yoccabel-Dibble assumed the position of Assistant Director of the Fermanian Business & Economic Institute at Point Loma Nazarene University.  She brings over 6 years of experience in the hospitality industry which includes restaurant and meeting space event planning, operations, sales, marketing, guest relations, management, and leadership.  Yoccabel-Dibble’s background also includes regional and national conference planning, travel and lodging coordination, mentoring, and publication assistance.  Prior to her event planning role, she worked in administrative roles, customer service, and human resources positions.

Her participation in the community and different organizations has given her a wide range of relationships and community outreach.  Laura’s involvement in different organizations allows her to continue to foster relationships with those in the business community in San Diego.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Northern Arizona University and will complete a Master in Business Administration from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2014.  In addition to planning, management, and execution of all FBEI events, Ms. Yoccabel-Dibble’s experience with the PLNU MBA program further enhances her role in providing primary support to MBAs in career, project, and field experience placement.

Laura and her husband Ryan moved to San Diego four years ago from their hometown of Mesa, Arizona and enjoy the 70 degree weather over the triple digit heat every day.  She values her strong Christian family upbringing and has enjoyed discovering everything southern California has to offer.  Laura enjoys her time outside of work leading the Young Adult ministry at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, helping coordinate events for the youth and exploring Southern California.  She serves on the Hospitality Industry Professional Extension for the San Diego Chapter to meet other young professionals in the area.
