Academic Search Premier - Large interdisciplinary database, with much full-text content
Book Review Digest - Indexes reviews of current fiction and non-fiction
Cambridge Histories Online - Full-text content of over 250 volumes from Cambridge University Press
CollegeSource - Online library representing over 43,000 college catalogs
CQ Researcher - Offers in-depth, non-biased coverage of political and social issues
Encyclopaedia Britannica - Full-text content from the general encyclopedia
LexisNexis Academic - Full-text content primarily from news and legal sources
NetLibrary Collection  - Digital version of full-text books, journals, and database content.
JSTOR - Large, interdisciplinary full-text database
OmniFile Mega Full Text - multi-disciplinary database, with much full-text content
Oxford English Dictionary Online - Full-text version of this standard reference work
Oxford Reference Online - Full-text dictionaries, language references, and  reference works
Readers Guide Full Text - Full-text articles from popular magazines (2005-present)
San Diego Union Tribune - Full-text articles with date range: (12/5/1983-present)

BOOKS

Check Phineas, Ryan Library 's online catalog, for hardcopy books.
The databases NetLibrary Collection and Oxford Reference Online have full-text books online.

Google Book Search is a good Web site to search for books on your topic
WorldCat provides access to libraries near you with books on your topic.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN

Use InterLibrary Loan (LINK+ and ILLiad) to access books and articles not held at Ryan Library.

Directories
BUBL Link has several thousand briefly annotated links.
InfoMine - A multi-disciplined, annotated directory of tens of thousands of links to university level research and educational tools on the Internet.
Intute - Directory created by a network of universities and and thir partners.
Librarians' Internet Index - Website listing compiled by librarians

Search Engines
Ask.com - includes mouseover previews of pages and prompts to narrow or expand a search
Google Advanced - Provides more options for your search strategy
Zuula - A meta-search engine that searches more than one search engine at a time

CITATION HELP

EndNote Web is an online tool for managing and citing references in papers and creating bibliographies.  EndNote Web includes numerous citation styles, including APA, MLA, Chicago (Turabian), and is available to current members of the PLNU community.
