Dr. Elson has a B.A. (Honors) in Natural Sciences (Zoology) from the University of Cambridge, England 1981 and a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the University of Cambridge, England 1985. His Post-Doctoral Studies included the Department of Physiology, at the University of Bristol, England 1985-1988, and the Division of Biological Sciences, at UC San Diego 1988-1991.
