Primary teaching responsibilities include Optimal Health, History & Trends,  Weight Lifting & Fitness Through Movement.  Alisa is also the Intramural Director and an assistant Track & Field coach.  For four years,  Alisa helped coach the women’s soccer team to a national championship runner up in 2009 and to the final four in 2011.

Prior to becoming a faculty member at Point Loma, Alisa taught at an international school in Kampala, Uganda for one school year, where she continued to develop her passion for international cultures. In the summer of 2009, she co-led a LoveWorks mission trip to Brazil, with head soccer coach Tim Hall. She is a guest lecturer in KPE101: Orientation to Kinesiology, lecturing on “Beyond the US Borders—Serving Abroad in Your Chosen Profession.”

Alisa met her husband, Brandan Ward, a Machinist Mate—1st Class Naval Submariner, at their church and they got married in December of 2010.
