Course Substition FAQ

1.  Request for Course Substitution
A.  Go to Records Office for the correct paperwork.     Complete this and attach a course syllabus.

B.  Submit completed forms to the LJML Department assistants.

C.  The department chair, Dr. Bettina Pedersen, will review the request and you will be contacted via email.

D.  No credit will be given for online courses.

2.  AP Credit & IB Credit
Contact the Records Office. For a list of AP unit awards, consult the PLNU web/online catalogue.

3.  Language Class substitutions
Follow the guidelines for #1. Prof. Jacque Mitchell will review your petition.

4.  The SATII Language Exam
The exam is given the first day of each semester. Cost: $20. Those who declare a language major of minor have no fee.

5.  Can’t Register for a LIT class
You must complete WRI 110 before registering. You may take WRI 116 concurrently with a LIT course and have the LIT instructor override the prerequisite requirement.
