Majors

  • Broadcast Journalism
    Gain knowledge and experience for careers in broadcast, print, and online media in this interdepartmental major in the LJML and Communication and Theatre departments.
  • French
    Gain knowledge and increasing fluency in French language, literature, and culture.  Nurture intercultural connections through engagement with local, national, or international communities.  Enrich your French studies with the two required study abroad courses in France or a Francophone country.
  • Journalism
    Gain skill and experience in effective research, reporting practices, storytelling, and clear effective writing and engage your writing/editorial processes through campus publications and external internships. LJML also offers an extremely marketable major-minor combination of Journalism and Spanish for those who desire to work in American border cities of Latin American countries.  For this track, you will complete an internship at a bilingual newspaper, magazine, radio, or television station.
