Clinical Background/Academic Focus:
Many years as a critical care nurse, in particular surgical patients including cardiovascular surgery; Nurse educator providing a variety of educational opportunities for licensed staff; Clinical Nurse Specialist for critical care and orientation and competency assessment in an academic teaching institution. Current focus: ethics, end-of-life care, palliative care, research, moral distress, and compassion fatigue in nursing staff.

Personal Note:
I am privileged to be at PLNU and look forward to meeting students and helping them to accomplish their academic/career goals. I am passionate about end-of-life issues, moral distress, and compassion fatigue within our profession. I am a mom and have 2 wonderful children, and am blessed by the love of my husband! We share 2 cats, 3 dogs and multiple other pets in our home!
