Bangladesh
Sukamal Biswas invites us to visit and participate in youth ministry and development projects for children. Christ is transforming communities through the church’s various compassionate ministries. There may also be opportunities for conversational English teaching. The team may also engage in relational ministry fellowship with churches and Sunday school classes as well as local church choirs.
The weather and conditions in Bangladesh can be extreme and we are looking for a team that is quite durable. We will arrive just at the end of the hot season and the start of the wet or monsoonal season.
The Church of the Nazarene in Bangladesh has holistically presented the gospel through compassionate ministry and preaching evangelistically. They operate numerous child development centers that provide nutrition, education, and general care to children in the community. Christ has grown the church dramatically in recent years through these and other holistic ministry efforts. We may learn how to better meet physical and spiritual needs in our own communities from our Bangladeshi sisters and brothers.
PLNU LoveWorks has a longstanding relationship with the church in Bangladesh and our previous visits have been excellent opportunities for ministry, new relationships, and learning. Simply put, these have been great trips in the past.
