Byumba & Gisenyi, Rwanda

Pastors Simon Pierre and Zabulon invite us a musically-focused team to play worship concerts, help with construction, and play sports with youth. The team will also be engaging in children’s ministry and potentially helping the church build an education center for children.

Exceprt from the 2014 team's update:
Since our last update, we were blessed by Courtney's message on Sunday at the Nazarene Church in Tumba. After the message we taught the parents and kids "Jesus Loves Me" and "Rise and Shine." We also participated in arts and crafts telling the kids about God's love. At the church we converted the two rooms where we removed bricks and made them into church offices. Tomorrow we are headed to a coffee and tea plantation to watch the exportation process. Thursday we will head to the countryside again to make more brick by hand. Last time we made 152 bricks in 3 hours and hopefully this time around we can make enough to complete that room. On Friday, we will visit the Rwandan National Museum in Butare and will participate with the dance team one last time. Saturday in Rwanda is a national clean up day and hope to participate in the cleaning of the city and will participate in a revival at the church on Saturday night. Sunday morning we will be attending our final church service and head to Kigali where we will tour the city before our departure at 0:00 hours.
