Jamie Gates is professor of cultural anthropology in the Department of Sociology and Social Work at PLNU and serves as the director of the university’s Center for Justice and Reconciliation. 

Having been raised in and studied apartheid South Africa, Jamie continues to work with justice and reconciliation as core theological and social concerns. View Dr. Gates' full bio

April 12, 2016: EurekAlert!: A team of scientists, including PLNU's Dr. Walter Cho, discovers an unusual tuna crab swarm at a seamount in Panama. Typically found along the Southern California coastline, this discovery represents a new southernmost range for the species.

November 25, 2015, UT San Diego: PLNU holds dedication ceremony for new science complex. The complex was created to support the growing science program at PLNU. It features advanced laboratories for Sator Hall and modern classrooms for Latter Hall.
