Who We Are
Phi Delta Lambda is the baccalaureate scholastic honor society for graduates of colleges and universities of the Church of the Nazarene. The Greek letters Phi, Delta, and Lambda symbolize the love of wisdom (philosophia), the pursuit of righteousness (dikaiosune), and service to God and others (latreia). The purpose of this alumni auxiliary is to support these high ideals and encourage scholarship and friendship among its members, those of all Phi Delta Lambda chapters and the students of Point Loma Nazarene University. PLNU students have the privilege of joining Phi Delta Lambda’s Alpha Chapter each year during Commencement Week. This chapter was organized at Pasadena College in 1940.
Thank you for visiting the Phi Delta Lambda website. Our focus in the coming months will be on new ways to support the undergraduate students of Point Loma Nazarene University in their pursuit of academic excellence. We are incredibly proud of our students and their accomplishments, and our desire is to provide help and encouragement that will directly affect the lives of these men and women. Please join us in praying for both our current students and our graduates who are actively making a Christian difference in the world.
Making A Difference?
This alumni honor society consists of men and women who strive to represent the ideals of Phi Delta Lambda. If you are serving the Lord in an area that allows you to demonstrate your love of wisdom, pursuit of righteousness and Christian service, please consider sharing your story with us. Current students need to know that these very important principles have a place in everyday life. Click Here to update us on how you're making a difference.
