Background

Kathy has been part of the UA team since July of 2008.  As the Assistant Director of Advancement Services, she works as part of an integrated management team to advance fundraising efforts and increase private support to the university.  Her responsibilities include managing University Advancement Services personnel and providing professional support to the university in implementing financial processes, reporting, prospect management, donor stewardship, and other related activities including development research, database management, financial reports, and daily operations of the UA office.

Kathy completed her undergraduate studies at Azusa Pacific University, earning a B.A. in Human Development with a concentration in English.  In 2011, she completed a M.A. in Education with a concentration in Counseling & Guidance at PLNU.  She has managed data and people in Christian education for the past ten years and has training and experience in accounting-related roles.  Kathy is the founder and coordinator of the Christian Counselors Network (CCN) in San Diego County.

Happily married for 28 years, Kathy and her husband have two children.  Her daughter attended Wheaton College for her undergrad and is currently working on her Ph. D. program in Linguistic Anthropology at UCSD.  Not only is Kathy a PLNU alumna, but also a former parent.  Her son is an alumnus with a B.A. in Psychology.  In her spare time she enjoys crafts, quilting, camping, reading, and road trips.
