Ryan Anthony with "Brasszania" Tuesday, December 16, 2008
Ryan Anthony, principal trumpet, of the Dallas Symphony with a brass quintet founded in the mid-1980's by RB and Ryan Anthony and three of their high school friends. This group, "Brasszania", became Disneyland's resident quintet and continues to perform nationally. Outside of the magic kingdom they have been known as "Pacific Coast Horns". They will be performing a mix of holiday favorites and selections from their "storied" past. This is a great event for the entire family! Tuesday, December 16, 7:30pm, Crill Performance Hall. PLNU Keyboard Series: Victor Fields, Organ Sunday, January 25, 2009
Mr. Fields has played organ concerts throughout the United States and Britain and even played the "Handel" organ at St. James Church. Now he will play the Crill organ in Crill Performance Hall. Lincoln Portrait: An orchestral work by Copland with the writings of Abraham Lincoln Thursday, February 12, 2009
When Aaron Copland was commissioned to compose a work about a great American, Lincoln was an obvious choice. This work, premiered in 1942. captures the way that America feels about this president.
