Bakersfield Launches new Undergraduate Teacher Education Program

Point Loma Nazarene University Announces Undergraduate Degree Completion/Credential Embedded Program in Bakersfield

Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) is pleased to announce the offering of a new academic program at the Bakersfield Regional Center.  This program is geared toward adults age 25 and older.  Successful completers of the program will earn a BA in Cross-Disciplinary Studies: Teacher Education and a preliminary teaching credential in both Multiple Subjects and Mild/Moderate Special Education. The 8-semester program was initiated at the request of Bakersfield-area school districts that have identified currently employed para-professionals who work well with students and wish to seek a preliminary teaching credential.  Classes will be offered one evening per week as well as occasional Saturdays at the PLNU Bakersfield Regional Center.  For more information, please consult the PLNU Bakersfield website
