PLNU Alumnus Wins Three Medals at World Senior Games

(San Diego, Calif. – Oct. 18, 2010) – At 95 years old, Col Everett (Penny) Penrod, class of 1940, took home two gold medals and one silver medal at the Huntsman World Senior Games. He competed in the 50-meter dash, standing long jump, and the discus throw.

Penrod is a regular competitor in the World Senior Games. In 2005, he took the gold in running long jump, setting a world record, while also taking home a bronze in shot put that year.
