Thank your for your interest in the Bachelor of Arts Degree Program offered through the School of Theology and Christian Ministry, which is located on the main campus of Point Loma Nazarene University, in the new Smee Hall building located next to Ryan Library on the corner of Peppertree Lane and the Campus Mall Campus Map. Our offices are located on the second floor of Smee Hall.  We invite you to visit our Advising Page for a complete list of major concentrations offered by the School of Theology and Christian Ministry, and the specific requirements for each of them.

Program Objectives

  • To help students appreciate and understand Christian history, theology, and spirituality from the perspective of the biblical, historical Christian faith.
  • To create opportunities for students to apply and integrate classroom knowledge and principles to in-service training experiences in local churches, cross-cultural settings, and missions.
  • To prepare students to pursue the study of philosophy, theology, or religion in a graduate school or seminary.
  • To educate students to be "practical thinkers" and "thinking practitioners."
