March 18 - 20, 2009 Guest speaker: Dr. Amy Oden Dr. Oden is Professor of the History of Christianity at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. Her work has centered on issues and practices of hospitality within the Christian tradition and contemporary church and society. She holds a B.A. from the University of Oklahoma and a Ph.D. from southern Methodist University. Her published works include: In Her Words: Women's Writings in the History of Christian Thought (Abingdon Press, 1994), and And You Welcomed Me: Sourcebook on Hospitality in Early Christianity (Abingdon Press, 2001).
