Allison Harden, M.A.

Adjunct Professor of Multimedia Journalism & Writing

Professor Harden has been writing stories since she can remember and is passionate about both the technical and creative sides of writing.

A music buff, vinyl collector, avid yogi, runner, and traveler, she spends as much time as she can exploring new places or catching a live show.

Experience in Field

She has been working professionally as a writer/editor for 11 years after graduating from PLNU in 2006. She started out copy editing for a daily newspaper in Vacaville, Calif., after college, and then served as an associate editor for a medical journal (JEMS) in downtown San Diego. Since 2013, she has been a marketing/advertising writer/editor, and she currently works full time as a content marketing writer at Illumina, Inc., a local biotech company. In addition, she has served as a poetry submissions editor for Narrative magazine, and currently edits web content for the Chopra Center of Wellbeing. 

Professional and Community Involvement

In addition to teaching, she volunteers as a tutor/mentor to low-income high school students at Reality Changers in City Heights
