Where are you from?
I grew up in Orange County, California, but I have to say that I have fallen in love with San Diego. The city is so diverse and there is so much to do! From going to the beach with your friends and grabbing a sundae at Ghirardelli downtown to riding bikes in Coronado — what's not to love!?
What did you study in college?
I was an international studies major with an emphasis in European studies. The best thing about my major was that studying abroad was mandatory. I studied in Italy, where I learned to speak a bit of Italian, lived with an 80-year-old Italian woman, and ate a lot of pasta! While I was there I got to travel to Switzerland, France, Spain, and England.
What surprised you most about being a student at PLNU?
How much I LOVED internships! As a student at PLNU, I held four different internships, which really helped build my resume and shaped me professionally. One of my favorite internship memories was working with a local political fundraiser during the 2012 elections where I actually got to meet one of the presidential candidates and a few of the local San Diego congressmen!
What piece of advice would you give to someone who's choosing a college?
Visit the campus, don't be afraid to ask questions, and take advantage of the opportunities to visit a class or talk to current students!
