Conni Campbell, Ed.D.

Dr. Conni Campbell has been teaching at PLNU since 2007 after serving nearly 20 years in the public school system. She is a professor and associate dean of undergraduate and graduate studies for PLNU’s School of Education. Campbell began her teaching career serving in several schools in San Diego County as a classroom teacher, bilingual reading specialist, and professional developer for classroom teachers. After earning her doctorate in educational leadership from the University of La Verne, she became a school principal in North County, San Diego. Campbell currently teaches courses in strategies for English learners, teaching methodology, and contemporary issues in education. She consults with school districts across the county and enjoys a research agenda that includes engaging classroom instruction, effective teacher characteristics for quality instruction, and linking policy with institutional priorities.
