Courtney Lund O'Neil, M.F.A.

Adjunct Professor of Writing

Professor Courtney Lund is an essayist, whose work has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Glamour, and San Diego Magazine. She is also working on a memoir and a novel.

Courtney is a San Diego native and enjoys the outdoors, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She has taught Creative Writing at UC Riverside, Composition and various writing courses at Azusa Pacific University, and now teaches Composition here at Point Loma Nazarene University.

She was awarded the Marcia McQuern Award for Excellence in Nonfiction, 2013, which provided full funding to attend the Squaw Valley Community of Writers. Her essay, Graduate, was an essay contest winner and funded a spot at the Santa Barbara Writers Conference in 2014.
