Joshua Dexheimer, M.S., CSCS, USAW, PES

Part-Time Faculty, Kinesiology

Joshua Dexheimer’s background consists of playing four years of baseball for PLNU as well as having coached at the high school and college level. He has research training in private industry for health and wellness devices at Higi Stayhealthy LLC and conducted his thesis on anti-gravity treadmill rehabilitation in knee replacement patients. Dexheimer is a strength and conditioning consultant and has expertise in exercise and strength and conditioning in athletes as well as clinical populations. PLNU's Department of Kinesiology is an educationally recognized program for strength and conditioning by the NSCA, where Dexheimer is program director. He has also taught kinesiology courses at Saint Katherine College in San Marcos and currently runs a health and wellness company called MetanoiaFit. Dexheimer has a passion for muscle physiology and will be focusing his dissertation on the effects of Ibuprofen on muscle hypertrophy with resistance training.
