Gary Wyer, MSN, MBA, RN

Assistant Professor

Gary began his career in 2017 at PLNU as an Adjunct Faculty at the School of Nursing (SON).  In the fall of 2020, Gary began teaching full time at the sophomore level for the SON.  Gary brings with him over 10 years of experience in health care, to include working as an EMT and an RN, serving in several roles.  Prior to joining PLNU and becoming an RN, it was the Navy that brought Gary to San Diego.  In the Navy, he began his first career and worked for 10 years as a Navy Diver.  While working out at Naval Base Point Loma, Gary met his future wife, Tracee.  Together they have a son named Cassius who is the light of their world.  They also own a couple of hair salons in La Mesa, along with a few other businesses.  They enjoy spending their free time together as a family, which includes exploring Southern California and Arizona.
