Jim Skalman, M.F.A.

Professor, Department of Art & Design

Jim Skalman has been teaching drawing, painting, and sculpture full time at PLNU since 1993. His multimedia sculptural installations have been exhibited extensively in local, national, and international venues such as the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (including four solo shows); Artpark, NY; University of Massachusetts, Amherst; University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; University of California, San Diego; San Diego State University; InSite International Biennial, Tijuana, BC; the David Lewinson Gallery; and Quint Contemporary Gallery. Skalman's work has been reviewed extensively and included in several books and museum catalogues.

 Skalman grew up in San Diego. He is married and has two sons.
