Sharon Smith, Ph.D., RN, FNP-BC

Associate Professor

Dr. Sharon Smith has been with Point Loma Nazarene University since August 2016. She brings with her experience of serving as clinical faculty at the graduate and undergraduate level. Smith has experience in neuro-recovery, vascular access, medical and cardiac intensive care, and as a family nurse practitioner.

Experience in Field

  • Dr. Smith's research interest is in understanding the spiritual needs of adolescents and emerging adults who are living with HIV.  More specifically, how their spiritual beliefs may help them cope with their diagnosis.
