Point Loma Nazarene University is comprised of a beautiful 93-acre campus in San Diego overlooking the Pacific Ocean and four Southern California regional centers conveniently located in Arcadia, Bakersfield, Inland Empire, and San Diego's Mission Valley. Approximately 2,400 undergraduates and more than 1,100 graduate and credential students attend PLNU.

The university is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU).

Point Loma Nazarene University is affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene . About one-quarter of PLNU students come from Nazarene churches. More than 45 total denominations are represented, including both evangelical and mainline.

Academics

Within PLNU’s College of Arts & Sciences and College of Social Sciences & Professional Studies are four schools and 13 departments. The university also runs 11 centers and institutes. Degrees conferred include B.A., B.S., B.S.N., B.Mus., M.A., MBA, M.S., MSN, M.Min., and Ed.S., as well as teaching, counseling, and administrative credentials.

Athletics

The Point Loma Nazarene University Sea Lions compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) as a member of the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC). The university fields 14 intercollegiate sport teams:

• PLNU Sea Lions Women's Teams: soccer, cross country, volleyball, basketball, softball, tennis, tack and field


• PLNU Sea Lions Men's Teams: soccer, cross country, basketball, golf, baseball, tennis, track and field
