CafeLife is never dull at Point Loma Nazarene University! With our beautiful location and Christ-centered environment, Point Loma is rich with involvement opportunities.

Students can get officially involved in various clubs and organizations, compete with our competitive athletic teams or our intramural athletic teams, go on a mission trip, serve with a student ministry or outreach group, get connected with students for various recreational activities, or attend an on-campus Mane Event.  To learn more about Point Loma, please visit our Campus Life section!

Lomativities:

Lomativities events are all-campus, large group activities that have become “the place to be.” Sponsored by student organizations and Student Development, these events include school spirit, food and fun – and are held both on and off campus.

Clubs & Organizations
:

Point Loma has more than 30 clubs and organizations. If you’re interested in cultures, politics, sports, social issues, student government, or a specific career field, chances are, there’s a club for you!

Music & Theatre:

Point Loma has many opportunities for singers, instrumentalists and those interested in all aspects of theatre. Crill Performance Hall and Salomon Theatre give aspiring musicians and thespians opportunities to perform.

Forensics:

The Point Loma speech and debate team is nationally known for its quality. The individual events program has been listed in the top 10 by the National Forensics Association, and the debate program has consistently been ranked in the top 10 college and university debate programs in the nation by the National Parliamentary Debate Association.

Media & Publications:

PLNU has its own student-run media publications such as radio and TV stations, KPLR AM 620 and CCTV. You can also get involved with The Mariner, PLNU’s yearbook, The Driftwood, an annual literary publication, or The Point Weekly, the student newspaper.

Ministry Groups:

There are more than 20 student-led ministry groups on campus. Whatever your gifts, passions, interests and schedule, you can find a way to serve!

Mission Trips:

Missions opportunities include YouthWorks, which pairs Point Loma students with high school students and adults to build and restore churches, and LoveWorks Short-Term Mission Program.
