Welcome from the ASB President

 

 

Incoming Students,

 I speak for the entire student body when I say we are so excited for you to join us here next year! I assure that this next chapter of your life will be unlike any that you have experienced before. Point Loma is more than a college; it’s a community. A community in which we study, grow, play, and most importantly pursue God together. 

As you begin to prepare for this next chapter I want to encourage you in the fact that you belong here. The uncertainty will give way to excitement, and the nerves will succumb to the joy of being part of a community that loves God and loves others. Whether you are coming here to study biology or political science, what you bring to this campus is invaluable. Your gifts, dreams, talents, and passions are a unique and integral part of the vibrant community that I personally have come to love.

 Three years ago I came to Point Loma without even visiting. It was all foreign to me. It was a time of growth and challenge, but out of it I have come to greatly appreciate this place. I say this to prepare you for what lies ahead. It will be tough at times, change generally is, but I am confident that this change for you is good. A change that will set a foundation for the amazing plans that God has in store.

 I look forward to meeting you in August and sharing this college experience with you. My prayer is that you find peace in the unknown and comfort in the knowledge that we are expecting your arrival with excitement and joy.
