Welcome from the President
Dear PLNU Parents,
Welcome to the PLNU family! I'm looking forward to meeting you and connecting you with the PLNU community. I know this transition into these university years is a very exciting time for you and your student. Your role will continue to be important as your student develops intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and socially over the next several years.
We would like to help you stay connected with your student's new home away from home. Through Parent Connection events, periodic newsletters, the Parent Connection website and a network of other PLNU parents, we hope to keep you informed as to what's going on at PLNU. We also hope to help you learn about the rich tradition and heritage that makes PLNU the prominent university that it is today.
I hope you'll be able to participate in the PLNU Family Weekend, which is held during the fall semester. The weekend is a wonderful opportunity for you to come and bring the family to experience what PLNU is all about, meet other parents and grandparents, and spend time with your student. In addition to this special weekend, you will have the chance to experience a little more of PLNU during New Student Orientation and Homecoming Weekend. Of course, you are always welcome on campus, and we hope to see you throughout the year.
As we strive to fulfill our mission to teach, to shape and to send students into the world as well-prepared individuals, we anticipate your student's growth in becoming the person God intended.
I know this will be an exciting journey for you and your student, and we are pleased to be part of it.
Bob Brower, Ph.D.
