Parent Check List & Important Information

Connecting to Your Career & Your Calling

Through the Offices of Strengths & Vocation (OSV), students have the opportunity to meet with their own personal career coach. Your son or daughter can collaborate with OSV career coaches on selecting a major, writing a resume, preparing for interviews, and planning for internships. OSV also manages the student employment program on campus. The OSV team hosts networking events and employer visits, so students connect with the world beyond the university. We are committed to partnering with every student to develop into the person that God has called him or her to be.Learn more at

The PLNU Parent Portal

  • First, to set up a parent portal account,  have your student log in to his or her account. Under the “Students” tab, have your student click on “Update Information Releases,” which  is under “Profile Update.” In this setting,  your student should be able to see your name  under the “Financial Info” section following  a six digit number (it should look like this:  “[xxxxxx-Parent]”). That number is your  parent ID.

  • Then, on the home page  (without being logged in), click on the “Parents” tab, then “Create Account.” Follow  the directions, filling in the appropriate  blanks. Be sure to use your parent ID as the  ID number. When you finish, you will have a  parent account with which you can log in.  When logged in as a parent, you should be able to see a “Parents” button where you can  access financial information.

  • If you have any questions or need additional  assistance in setting up your portal, contact  the PLNU Help Center at (619) 849-2222.
